Story

This vertical AST series floor sculpture emerged from a storm-fallen oak root, recovered from the Brandenburg forests. The wood tells tales of wind and weather; its surface is deeply weathered and gnarled, each crevice a testament to its history. Along its entire height, over twenty luminous mushrooms with porcelain-like caps emit a warm white light, as if sprung from a nocturnal forest biotope. Vibrant, living green moss fills the natural crevices, deepening the organic tableau. Standing at 145 cm, this forest scene brings the quiet presence of an ancient tree and the soft glow of the forest floor into a room, a biophilic statement that reaches far beyond mere illumination.

Details

Designed as a sculptural floor lamp for tall rooms, this piece rests on a stable, flat base. The gentle, warm white light emanates from over twenty integrated LED modules housed within the porcelain-like mushroom caps. The natural oak root is carefully sanded and sealed with an organic hard wax oil, which protects and highlights its unique texture. The living moss requires occasional misting with lime-free water to maintain its vibrant green. Weighing 18 kg, it stands securely and is ready for immediate use.
